I really wanna stop cutting!!!?

I'm 13...
i cut...
i am sooooo sick of being paranoid about someone seeing
of finding the blades in my room.
i cant tell anyone or they'll say that either
A) im phsyco
B) i just want attention

those are both wrong. (or at least B is!!)

hear me loud and clear on this:
I AM NOT EMO
EMO IS A PILE OF BULLSH*T
CALL ME A GOD DAMN EMO AND I AM GOING TO REPOT YOU got it? there are few things more offensive to me than to be called an emo. and if you are going to suggest "just quit cutting" i can't. i have tried but it's so hard.. i'm also trying to quit smoking cigs.
it's very hard. if my mom knew i would be in soooo much trouble. any help with that would be appreciated, too.

i guess the reason i do both of these things..... is probably grossly easy to figure out, and something i'm not just gonna say on yahoo answres.

but i'll give you a hint: both kill me faster

thanks :)

I have a friend who cuts herself. I also used to. Alright, first:

1. Figure out exactly why are you cutting yourself?

2. Find a way to make life more bearable, but it can't be something that will make it worse- like drugs. Find something to make life be
happier.

3. Confide in someone. Get help. Even if you don't think or don't want it, you really should. People aren't going to think your crazy. If you don't want people to talk down to you or lecture you- tell them that immediately. But do get a therapist. Get a therapist you don't hate to. If you get one you hate that would just be bad, and you don't want that.

Whenever you feel like cutting yourself, just stop thinking about it- don't let your mind wander back to it. Distract yourself with anything that you can find.

As for stopping smoking cigarettes, it's another matter of just finding some way to distract yourself. Replace smoking cigarettes with something that won't hurt you. Like chew a lot of gum.

Also even if you hate yourself remind yourself that you really are a lot better than you think you are. Even if you think people don't care about you, they do, a few really do care. Even if you don't think so. I also agree with you very much about emo being a pile of bullsh*t.

You need to get some kind of professional help, get off Yahoo Answers and look into that.

I'm glad I could help.

  1. Alyssa Marie's mom says:

No one can convince you to quit…you have to want to do it…I smoked since I was 17, then I got pregnant at 19 and quit the entire time I was pregnant…then started again after my daughter was born..I made the decision to quit for her…I didn’t want her born with lung problems….so, its all up to you…
