Find resources in your area. Many struggling addicts of all kinds are sadly unaware of the many organizations that would like to help them. For example, many cities have hotlines that people can call for guidance during intense cravings. Inspire yourself. The first few days of withdrawal will be very difficult; try to keep your spirits up by surrounding yourself with pictures, quotes, or even people who you find inspiring. The good news is that after the initial few days are over, you may not need any more than a mirror to find motivation. Some of the benefits of quitting - better breath, more attractive teeth - begin to show very quickly after quitting. If you are ever tempted to start again, just glance at your fresh new smile in the mirror.

Combine treatments. Any kind of addiction has two components, physical and mental. Patches or medications may help you with physical withdrawal symptoms but will not address the psychological issues contributing to your habit, and vice versa. Medications or patches combined with support groups or therapy can be very helpful.

A question relating to dipping tobacco?

Alright guys, I have a question for yous. Lately I have been wondering some things, first, i gave up smoking and have been dipping tobacco (copenhagen) But I plan to quit this soon, as I hear this is even more of an addiction than cigarettes (and they were rough to put down) So my question is, If I can break the addiction, is it okay if I buy a can on occasion, say, maybe one can during deer season, and maybe one on a fishing trip here and there? Speaking in a non habit forming manner now. Theres just something about smokeless tobacco that pairs well with outdoor activitys, Thanks guys. And dont respond saying "its habit forming" as is any tobacco product, im speaking strictly here about maybe 2 cans per year, Thanks!
