Electronic Cigarette Quit Smoking

Electronic Cigarette Quit Smoking

Smokers smoke because they in part enjoy it, but mainly because they are addicted to the nicotine contained in cigarettes. It is highly addictive and can have a calming effect on smokers, it is also an incredibly difficult addiction to break.

Whilst in extremely high doses, nicotine can be lethal to humans, it is not considered possible to overdose from nicotine by smoking cigarettes alone. It is however possible to overdose by using patches, gum and smoking at the same time.

Cigarettes contain nicotine and this is absorbed into the blood and can create instant chemical reactions in the brain of smokers. Cigarettes are also highly carcinogenic and are blamed for the deaths of millions of people each year as they can cause cancer.

Whilst cigarettes are highly carcinogenic, Nicotine is not and has not been allocated to any particular carcinogenic group. Of the literature that is available on the subject, indications suggest that nicotine does not promote the development of cancer.

It is no wonder that smokers face increased health problems from smoking given the carcinogenic properties of the ingredients, coupled with the addictive properties of nicotine. Given that nicotine on its own carries far less health problems than cigarettes, it may be worthwhile exploring the alternatives.

For years it has been possible to buy nicotine patches and gum. However, these are often unsuccessful. For smokers, smoking is all about habit. Sneaking five minutes out of the office for a cigarette, having a smoke after a meal and more importantly, with a beer or wine. Unfortunately, patches or gum are never going to help break the habit. Will power will but when frustrated, bad habits soon come back.

A more recent development in the market of tobacco alternatives is the nicotine inhalator. A plastic stick that has a cartridge containing nicotine within it. Again, for smokers, this is a bit of an embarrassment given that they can feel quite ridiculous using these devices. They do not resemble cigarettes and whilst offering the nicotine, they do not replicate the feeling of smoking.

Today it is possible to obtain an alternative to cigarettes that provide the user with a nicotine 'hit' as well as the texture of smoking a cigarette. Electronic cigarettes have cartridges that are similar to those in the old inhalators, but they also vaporize the nicotine to give the smoker the sensation that they are smoking a cigarette.

Whilst there is no proof that Electric Cigarettes can help people stop smoking, they are a wonderful alternative to tobacco as they do not contain any carcinogens. Users no longer smell of smoke when using these products and there are other benefits too. Cartridges are cheaper to buy than cigarettes too with a typical cartridge providing the equivalent nicotine dose of 100 cigarettes. The devices are easy to use and can be charged using a wall socket or USB socket on any computer.

Another great benefit is that you can beat the smoking ban with Electric Cigarettes. As there is no smoke produced, only vapor, you can use them indoors. They are 100% legal to use in pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants and many other public indoor places.

There is a ban across Europe that prohibits smoking in certain public places. This is particularly upsetting for those cosmopolitan types that enjoy a cigarette with their skinny latte or those that enjoy nothing more than a beer and a cigarette. However, with electric cigarettes, it is possible to enjoy your skinny latte or beer whilst using a stylish alternative to tobacco.

I have been looking for an alternative to tobacco. Fed up with patches, gum and inhalators, I have finally found an alternative that allows me to satisfy my nicotine cravings while at the same time eliminating cigarettes from my life. What's the best Electronic Cigarette model?

I'm trying to quit smoking and a friend suggested I try e-cigarettes (first time I heard of them). What's the best model out there? Which ones are the most popular and why? What stores carry them or do I need to order online?

Thanks!!!

The three most popular e-cigs seem to be the DSE-801, the DSE-901 and the Joye510. I own all of them (and many others) so the following is based on my personal experience.

The DSE-801, also known as a RN4072, 'pen style', 'standard' or 'classic' is the original e-cig. Pros - Largest cartridges so they last longer than the others, produces the most amount of vapour, good flavour, decent throat hit. Cons - It's significantly longer than a traditional cigarette, about twice the length of a king size (155mm) and looks like a pen.

The DSE-901 is also known as a RN4075 or 'mini'. Pros - This e-cig gives the most flavour and kicks out a good amount of vapour, not much longer than a normal cigarette (119mm). Cons - Weakest throat hit of the three, smaller cartridges so they don't last as long as the 801s.

The Joye510 is also known as a Dura, Titan and Yeti. Pros - Amazing throat hit, produces almost as much vapour as the 801, has a portable charging case, with the standard battery it is the smallest model (112mm) but there are two other, longer, batteries available that will give longer between charges.. Cons - The atomiser runs at a higher temperature than the other models so you don't get as much taste and, if you're a heavy user, you have to be careful that the cartridge doesn't dry out.

The video reviews I've listed below will let you see the various models in use and give another view of the pros and cons of each.

I wouldn't recommend Blu-cig unless you want to wait over a month for your order. Also would not recommend Greencig; I don't trust companies that make fraudulent statements about their products.

The best deal at the moment seems to be from TECC who have a sale on until the end of the month.

Their sister site, Totally Wicked is the best place I've found for e-liquid and also have a sale on, though not everything is included in the sale.

US site http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com

If you use the code T4BE699 at checkout on either site you'll get an extra 7% discount.

I am not affiliated in any way with any e-cig site or company, I'm just a happy customer who hasn't had a cigarette in four months.
